Map Contact/Customer Information with Contact Property in a Bot

What is Contact Property Mapping?

Contact property mapping allows your bot to capture user inputs and store them as specific contact details. This helps in personalizing interactions and managing customer data efficiently.

Steps to Map Contact Information in a Bot

Navigate to the Bot Builder

  1. Log in to your Geta.ai dashboard.
  2. Go to the Bot Builder module.
  3. Select the web bot you want to edit.

Access the Flow Builder

  1. Open the Flow Builder to design your bot’s interaction flow.
  2. Select the node where you want to capture user input.

Enable Contact Property Mapping

  1. In the node below, check the box for "Save this response as a property."
  2. A list of Contact Properties will appear on the side.
  3. Select the specific property where you want to store the response (e.g., Age, Address, Alternate Phone Number).

Save the Changes

  1. Click Save to apply the mapping.

How It Works

  • When a user interacts with the bot, their input is stored in the mapped contact property.
  • The saved data can be used for future conversations, segmentation, and automation.

Next Steps

Test the Mapping – Initiate a test chat to check if the bot correctly saves the input.
Use Data for Personalization – Leverage stored data for tailored responses.
Monitor and Update – Regularly review mapped properties to ensure accurate data collection.

By mapping contact information, you enhance customer engagement and data management in Geta.ai.
