How to Use Smart AI Reply Assistant in Inbox
The Smart AI Reply Assistant in Geta.ai helps you draft, refine, and enhance responses inside the Inbox module. It can generate contextual replies and improve your message using tools like Condense, Fix Grammar, Positive Tone, and Translate.
⚠️ Important Requirements (Must Read)
Before using Smart AI Reply Assistant:
✅ The conversation must be assigned to you
✅ There must be text present in the reply box
❌ If the chat is unassigned, the Smart AI option will not appear
❌ If the reply box is empty, Smart AI will not generate any content
Step-by-Step: Using Smart AI Reply Assistant
Step 1: Open Inbox
Log in to your Geta.ai account
Go to the Inbox Module
Open the conversation you want to respond to
Step 2: Assign the Conversation (Mandatory)
Click Assign to Me
🔹 Smart AI Assistant becomes available only after this step.
Step 3: Add Initial Text
Type a reply manually in the reply box
🔹 Smart AI will not generate content if the reply field is empty.
Step 4: Use Smart AI Tools
Click the Smart AI icon in the reply toolbar
Choose any of the following options:
Condense – Shortens the message while keeping the meaning intact
Fix Grammar – Corrects grammar and spelling
Positive Tone – Makes the message more polite and friendly
Translate – Converts the message into another language
If using Translate, select your preferred language from the dropdown
Review the updated response
Click Send
How Smart AI Works
Smart AI enhances the content already present in your reply box.
It does not automatically respond to customers unless you provide text input.
This ensures:
Better control over communication
Contextual accuracy
Human validation before sending
Troubleshooting
❓ Smart AI option is not visible
✔ Ensure the chat is Assigned to Me
❓ Smart AI is not generating content
✔ Ensure there is text already written in the reply box
✔ Then click the Smart AI icon again

Always review AI-generated content before sending
Use Condense for shorter responses during high chat volume
Use Fix Grammar before sending formal responses
Use Translate when handling multilingual customers
