How to Configure Call Settings for Simple Voice Bot
The Call Settings section allows you to control how a Simple Voice Bot handles call duration, voicemail detection, hangup logic, and interruptions. These settings help ensure calls end gracefully and behave as expected during silence or inactivity.
How to Access Call Settings
Log in to your Geta.ai account.
Navigate to the Bot Builder module.
Locate your Simple Voice Bot and click Manage.
From the left-side menu, click on Call Settings.
Voicemail Detection
Voicemail Toggle
Enable the Voicemail toggle if required.
When enabled, the system detects answering machines or voicemail.
If voicemail is detected, the call is automatically disconnected.
No call minutes are deducted from your quota in this case.
Max Call Duration
Use the Max Call Duration slider to define the maximum length of the call.
The duration is set in minutes.
Once the configured limit is reached, the call ends automatically.
Call Hangup Logic
Call hangup logic determines when and how the call should end.
Option 1: Provide a Custom Prompt
Select Provide a custom prompt to define your own hangup conditions.
This allows you to guide the bot on when it should disconnect the call based on user behavior.
Call Hangup Prompt
Enter a prompt that instructs the bot when to hang up.
Example scenarios include:
User is silent
User is unresponsive
User explicitly requests to end the call
This prompt is used internally by the bot to determine hangup behavior.
Option 2: Call Hangs Up on Silence
Select Call hangs up on silence to automatically disconnect calls when the user does not speak.
Use the Time slider to define how many seconds of silence are allowed before the call ends.
Call Hangup Message
The Call Hangup Message is the final message spoken by the bot before disconnecting the call.
This field is mandatory.
Use a polite and clear closing message for the best user experience.
Example:
“Thank you for your time. If you need any assistance in the future, feel free to reach out. Goodbye.”
Call End Timing
Use the Time slider to control when the call should end after meeting hangup conditions.
This setting works alongside the max call duration and hangup logic.
Number of Words for Interruption
Configure the Number of Words for Interruption slider.
This defines how many words a user must speak to interrupt the bot while it is talking.
Lower values make the bot more interruptible; higher values make it more controlled.
Saving Your Settings
Click Save Changes to apply all configurations.
Unsaved changes will not be applied to the voice bot.
