Automation Journeys in Geta.ai are built using three key building blocks: Triggers → Conditions → Actions. Once a contact enters a journey through a trigger and meets the specified conditions, it's time to define what happens next—Actions.
This guide will walk you through all the available actions in Geta.ai’s Automation module and how to use them effectively.
📍 How to Access Automation Actions
Go to the Automation module in Geta.ai.
Click on the Create Automation button or edit an existing journey.
After adding a Trigger and a Condition, you will reach the Actions block.
Click on + Add Action to choose from the list of available actions.
⚙️ Types of Actions in Automation
⏱️ 1. Add Delay
Add a time gap between actions to control the pace of your journey.
Options: Minutes, Hours, Days
Use Case: Wait 1 day before sending a follow-up email or WhatsApp message.
🌐 2. Call API
Make an external API request to exchange data with other systems or services.
Options: Customize the endpoint, headers, and payload.
Use Case: Send contact data to your CRM or external analytics tool.
👤 3. Update Contact
Modify or update the information of a contact in your system.
Options: Choose the contact field (e.g., Name, Email, Status) and set a new value.
Use Case: Tag a lead as "Interested" after they click a link in a WhatsApp message.
